Juventus College - Scientific High School of Applied Sciences

THE EDUCATIONAL CENTER OF JUVENTUS

J|College, or Juventus College, is a second level scientific high school for sports and applied sciences that was founded and inaugurated by Juventus F.C. and the Agnelli Institute in September 2012. Operationally active since September of the same year, under the guidance of the principal Marta Serrano, the J College was initially located in Vinovo and extended over an area of 650 square meters. The College building expanded over two sporting fields within the Juventus Training Center and housed five classrooms.
The high school is the first educational center in Italy to be managed by a sports club. Officially recognized by MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research), it stems from Juventus' desire to provide the youth with 360-degree academic preparation which is not limited only to the sports sector. The educational project, in fact, although equipped with hourly flexibility and structured in such a way as to allow children to combine their studies with training, has the ambition to provide qualitative high school education.

The seriousness and value of the J|College has also been certified by the European Club Association (ECA) which, in September 2013, awarded Andrea Agnelli the "ECA Best Achievement Award" in the "Youth Development" category, recognizing the J|College as the best educational project among all those launched by European clubs that is dedicated to respective youth sectors.

PARTNERSHIPS

Pursuing school excellence is the College’s objective. In 2015, in fact, the management of the school switched over to ISE (International School of Europe) with Franco Cossard taking over as principal. In 2017, then, ISE restructured into WINS (World International School), an excellent reference in the sector that boasts the qualification of International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidate School. In the same year, 2017, the College moved from Vinovo to Continassa.

THE CLASSES

Currently, 107 Juventus students attend J | College: there is one first-year class, two second and two third-years, as well as a fourth-year and a fifth-year class which are all active today. In addition, since 2017, classes are also attended by girls from the youth sector and the women's first team. This is a common school context, with which Juventus aims to further favour the integration of the two football projects, the female and the male ones.
Since 2015, 28 of the Bianconeri have graduated: five of them currently play in Serie A teams: Emil Audero (Sampdoria), Andrea Favilli (Genoa), Filippo Romagna (Sassuolo), Alessandro Semprini (Brescia) and Sofia Cantore (currently on loan to Verona Women).

THE CLASSESTECHNOLOGY & INTEGRATION

The choice to collaborate with WINS was dictated by Juventus FC's desire to further improve an already solid project through the introduction of different and innovative teaching techniques: the Digital Learning Experience, for example, carefully integrates the use of tablets and other technological tools to facilitate learning both in the classroom and during personal study.
