“I’m happy, honoured. To sign a contract until 2026 with this shirt gives me real pride, it’s something I never would have thought was possible. I’m happy with what I’ve done already, and I can’t wait to continue to write more success stories together.”
Those were the words with which Arianna Caruso responded to her most recent contract extension with Juventus, which will take her through with the Bianconere until 30 June, 2026.
“What words come to mind when I think about my journey with Juventus? Difficulty, because it was hard at the beginning. I was young, I left home, school, and all that I had in Rome. But then, at the same time, I’d use the word ‘dream’. I would never have thought that I’d wear this shirt, it really was an impossibility. Then there’s passion, because that’s what Juventus is.”
THOSE EARLY DAYS, SEVEN YEARS AGO…
“I remember that first time at Pianezza very well, in 2017, but I also remember my first moments here with my parents, seeing the trophies, the stadium, it was a little bit of a shock to the system and at the same time it was a dream come true. I remember clearly all of the steps I’ve taken since then, and I think I’ll always carry them with me.”
ON BEING ONE OF THE MOST EXPERIENCED
“It’s not easy to pass on what the older girls have passed on to me. I think of girls like Martina Rosucci, Sara Gama, Barbara Bonansea, who passed on the values of Juventus to me. Martina, in particular, was fundamental. She has been a very important part of my story. Now times have changed and I hope to be able to pass those same things on to the younger generation. If I’ve made it this far then I have them to thank for it, I haven’t fully realised the value of what I’ve experienced in my time here, but I think it will become clear as time passes to those who pass through in the future.”
GAMES THAT STAND OUT
“One game? More than anything else I have a season that comes to mind, the year in which we won each of our 22 games in Serie A. It was a crazy, incredible year. But there are so many other memories, a standout was playing against Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium in front of 40,000 people, the Champions League games, and thankfully there have been a lot of games, which means I have a lot of real beautiful memories.”
