21 August 2023
It was 15 January 2022 when Massimiliano Allegri reached a prestigious milestone: 300 matches on the Juventus bench.
On Sunday evening - 20 August 2023 - he reached another personal milestone as with the 3-0 win over Udinese, our coach achieved his 250th victory as coach of the Bianconeri!
In doing so, he become just the second Juventus coach to achieve this feat - considering all competitions since 1929/1930 - after Giovanni Trapattoni (319).
It’s an impressive tally which co-incidentally came against Udinese, the very same opponents which, on 15 January 2022, he faced on his 300th match in charge.
It is difficult to encapsulate the key moments of his Bianconero career in just a few lines, as each of us remember different joyous moments across his decorated career, so we decided to focus on an aspect that we can all agree on: Allegri’s stature among the great Juventus coaches.
Coach Max is the second-most successful coach in our history, behind only Giovanni Trapattoni. And speaking of The Trap…
“I am happy to have reached this milestone. Coaching Juventus for eight years is a source of pride, as is being behind a legend of Italian football like Giovanni Trapattoni.” Massimiliano Allegri
Almost nine years have passed since 30 August 2014, the day of his debut in the Juventus dugout, and his first victory in Verona against Chievo, in his first adventure in Bianconero which ended after five seasons and 11 trophies won, including five consecutive Scudetti. Then a new chapter, which began in the summer of 2021, with new stimuli and new challenges, but always with a common thread linked to the past: the love for these colours with which he has given us so much joy. Joy that we hope to relive together once again.
Congratulations, Coach!
Now, however, some statistics for our lovers of numbers!
