Juventus Women got back to winning ways in emphatic fashion on the third matchday of the Poule Scudetto, returning from their rest week with a 4-0 win over Fiorentina in Biella.
The Bianconere flew out of the traps on Saturday and had a two-goal cushion early on with Julia Grosso and Joe Echegini striking. The Nigerian then added two more in the second half to complete a hat-trick and a comprehensive win for our ladies.
Julia and Joe both earned their place in the official 'Top 11' - Team of the Week - with their performances, and they were joined by two rocks at the back in Martina Lenzini and Sara Gama.
SARA GAMA
Our captain made three clearances at the back and completed seven passes in the attacking third, as well as winning three aerial duels.
MARTINA LENZINI
Having been moved to centre-back, Martina won five duels against Fiorentina - more than any other player on the pitch.
JULIA GROSSO
As well as opening the scoring with a fine finish early on, Julia was the midfielder to have completed the most forward passes in Serie A over the weekend (56).
JOE ECHEGINI
Scoring her first hat-trick since joining the Bianconere in January, Joe continued her excellent start to life in Italy. She had four shots on target on the day, at least twice as many as any other player on the pitch in Biella.
