Juventus is pleased to announce a new partnership with OpTic Gaming, a leading gaming brand in entertainment and lifestyle, and particularly popular throughout North America. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between traditional sports and esports, as well as unite two passionate global fanbases.
OpTic is recognized for its extensive impact in the industry and boasts a longstanding record of competitive success with over 50 Championships across some of the most played games in the world. In 2022, OpTic was recognized as Esports Organization of the Year worldwide at the Esports Awards.
As part of the new partnership, collaborations between the two brands will take place on social media, with periodic launches of limited edition co-branded merchandise as well as the creation of video content with events involving players and influencers from both organizations. The collaboration will be further enhanced by joint activations at live events in both the football and Esports worlds.
It will be a busy start to the new partnership, with four world-famous creators from the OpTic network present in Turin, namely gaming icon Seth "Scump" Abner, OpTic CEO Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez, former Call of Duty pro Anthony "Methodz" Zinni, and OpTic talent Davis "Hitch" Edwards, who will immerse themselves in the Juventus world with exclusive access to the Allianz Stadium (including, of course, during Sunday's Juventus-Fiorentina match), the Juventus Training Center, and the Juventus Creator Lab. Fans will then be able to see the content created to celebrate the launch of the partnership.
Mike Armstrong, Juventus Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, said, “We see football and gaming continue to be a natural cultural intersection point. OpTic are pioneers in their industry, have a winning spirit, and have world-renowned players and influencers connected to some of the most popular game titles on the planet. This is a unique opportunity for us to innovate together to bring something more to both fan groups.”
Hector Rodriguez, CEO of OpTic Gaming, said, “OpTic and Juventus are built on different foundations, but we share values in how we compete and foster communities with unmatched passion and engagement. We’re looking forward to making this partnership one that unites people, brings more fans into the GreenWall [OpTic's signature green wall], elevates Juventus, and makes OpTic a more global organisation than ever.”
