Big news from Indonesia: Juventus have successfully hosted their first-ever Training Camp, which was held from June 27 to July 1 at the Dewantara Sports Center in Serpong, South Tangerang.
This event, a collaboration between Juve and a number of local players, marks a historic milestone in the development of soccer in Indonesia; 50 youngsters trained, with fun and enthusiasm, in the presence of two Juventus Academy coaches.
There were also numerous official appearances during the week, such as that of Mikha Tambayong, from the Staff of the Minister of Communication for Youth and Sports for the opening, while the closing ceremony was attended by Dito Ariotedjo, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
"I express my gratitude to the Juventus Academy for their efforts, and I hope that these programs will be useful and that large-scale coaching for our young athletes can be held in the future. I also appreciate and thank the parents of these young participants, to whom I say: it is important to maintain your enthusiasm during training and also at school," said Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, Dito Ariotedjo.
The Juventus Academy Training Camp in Indonesia is a kind of prologue to the future official academy, which will open in Bali in the near future: this is an exciting project for both soccer and tourism, which will further strengthen the presence of the Juventus Academy in Indonesia and provide even more opportunities for young aspiring soccer players to develop their skills, and their dreams.
