Joe Montemurro sat down for another live chat on Juventus' official Twitch account ahead of Sunday's Serie A encounter with Fiorentina.
Besides discussing the Bianconere's remaining matches, including the forthcoming cup final against Roma, he also took a moment to pay tribute to Sofie Junge Pedersen, who has announced she will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
RUN-UP TO FINAL
“This match against Fiorentina is the start of our last run of games this season and our aim is to get in the best shape possible for the Coppa Italia final on 4 June. Our route to the final starts tomorrow with what should be a great match against tricky opponents. The girls are ready and they can't wait to get out there.”
TEAM SELECTION
“Everyone is available for selection tomorrow except [Elisa] Pfattner and [Eva] Schatzer. They aren't with us because after the Primavera Scudetto final they played in the FIFA Blue Stars tournament in Zurich – an excellent learning experience for our Under 19s.”
SHARING THE GOALS
“I've always said you can't rely on a single player. You can't expect one player to score 30 goals a season and that's been our thinking over the last two years. We've had lots of different names on the score sheet this year and I think that's one of the positives to take, although there were times when we came up short. It's a long journey but we're on the right path.”
GOOD LUCK, SOFIE!
“Sofie has been exemplary both on and off the pitch. She's contributed to some memorable chapters in Juve history and I'm happy and honoured to have had the chance to coach her. I've always been impressed by how curious she is. She always asks lots of questions, especially when we have team meetings in the video room. It's been a pleasure to work with her and I wish her all the best for the future.”
