Recap of the women's international break

The season's first women's international break is over, and Vinovo will once again be filled with Juventus Women players. While training continued over the break, a lot of our Bianconere were away representing their respective nations.

So, let's take a look at how they got on, country by country.

CANADA

Starting across the pond, Canada booked their ticket to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, beating Jamaica over two legs. Julia Grosso started in Toronto and came off the bench away, and Canada won 2-0 and 2-1.

ITALY

There was a win and a loss for Andrea Soncin's Azzurre, with the coach experiencing his first international fixtures. The 1-0 win over Switzerland was sealed by our very own Arianna Caruso, and the second game ended in a 1-0 loss to Sweden. That game was a big Bianconere reunion as Amanda Nilden, Linda Sembrant, Caruso, Martina Lenzini, Sofia Cantore, Cristiana Girelli, Barbara Bonansea, Sara Gama and Roberta Aprile were all involved in the squads.

SWEDEN

As well as the 1-0 win over Italy, Sweden won 3-2 against Spain and a former Juventus player was on target in Lina Hurtig.

FRANCE

Two wins for Pauline Peyraud-Magnin and Estelle Cascarino as France beat Portugal 2-0 and Austria 1-0.

NETHERLANDS

Lineth Beerensteyn enjoyed two 2-1 wins, first against Belgium and then against England. Lineth started both games.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Gloria Sliskovic's Bosnia and Herzegovina were also in Women's Nations League action. They won 2-1 away against Belarus and then drew 1-1 with Slovenia. Gloria started both games, unfortunately being sent off in the second game.
