Almost all of us at some point in our lives will have certain ties and bonds that are worth more than anything, so much so that they seem eternal.
That is the case for Sara Gama and Juventus. The overwhelming feeling of belonging that Sara has felt since her very first days with Juventus Women - when very few could have imagined what she would go on to achieve with the Bianconere - continues almost seven years on. Now, she has decided to extend her journey in our colours until 2025.
Now it is official - Sara Gama has renewed her contract with the club for another year, until 2025. And so her extraordinary story continues, as it was destined to. Sara has been ever present for the Bianconere, always honouring the shirt and wearing that captain’s armband on her right arm with pride.
She has been a leader on the field, and off it as well. Sara has always been, is still, and will continue to be a reference point for our club.
"Juventus represents continuity over time. Maintaining this continuity is the simplest, but also the most difficult, secret in carrying out great projects. I am happy and proud to be part of all this."
This is how Sara commented on her contract renewal in 2019, and these words are so timely.
It is precisely due to her desire and need for continuous improvement and her commitment that Sara, along with so many of her teammates over the years, has been able to take real satisfaction from her Juventus journey to date.
She has won 12 trophies with the club since 2017 and has made as many as 144 appearances across all competitions. Of the club’s defenders, only Lisa Boattin has played more times with 198 appearances.
Her numbers only tell a small part of her story, though. Sara has lived an extraordinary journey since joining Juventus seven years ago.
Now, we are all looking towards the future and with new goals to focus on.
