A long-standing tradition continued at the Juventus Museum on Tuesday night, with the Bianconere delivering their recently-won Italian Super Cup to take its place. Just as they have done every season since their founding in 2017, Juventus Women have managed to deliver a trophy to the Museum.
The novelty, though, is that the trophy is the first to be delivered to the new Temple of Trophies, which opened last autumn.
It was undeniably a special moment at the Museum, and one that saw the following in attendance: president Gianluca Ferrero, Museum president Paolo Garimberti, Francesco Calvo, head of Juventus Women Stefano Braghin, coach Joe Montemurro, players Lisa Boattin and Sara Gama.
Ferrero, Braghin, Montemurro, Gama and more speak on the Italian Super Cup's delivery…
“The year began with a bang,” Gianluca Ferrero began. “I’m very proud of this group, who have continued this incredible record of delivering a trophy every single season, always enriching our museum. Congratulations to the team, who keep on writing history for our club.”
“This Cup isn’t only important because it once again shows the strength of our girls,” said Paolo Garimberti, “but it is also the first that we are adding to our Temple of Trophies.”
“It’s always special to be able to fill the trophy room,” Stefano Braghin said. “You can feel the history of this club here, and it’s a privilege to be a part of it, while also being a responsibility. We’re already thinking about the next challenge and continuing to honour this shirt.”
“We’re always honoured to bring the trophies we’ve won for this club here,” commented coach Joe Montemurro. “It’s a symbol of who we are and what we try to do, which is to represent Juventus at the very highest level.”
“It’s a real pride for me to deliver the first trophy here, and a trophy that, along with Sara [Gama] whom I have to thank, I lifted as captain,” added Lisa Boattin. “I’m excited, proud… It’s an honour to bring the cup to the Museum and we want to deliver many more.”
“We’re proud and happy to be back here again with a trophy,” Sara Gama said. “We know that consistently winning trophies is important at this club. We know how to always go again, we know how to embody the spirit of this club as best we can.”
