Friday afternoon saw the fourth LIVE appointment of Joe Montemurro on Twitch take place, as the Juventus Women head coach looked ahead to Saturday's big clash against Roma.
The Juventus coach answered many questions in the live chat, but began with a word of praise for the men's team: "First of all I want to congratulate the men's first team and coach Massimiliano Allegri for qualifying for the semi-final of the Europa League. When certain results are achieved at a European level, they are always great achievements."
THE COMEBACK AGAINST FIORENTINA
"I had many mixed emotions in last week's match against Fiorentina. In the first half we obviously weren't satisfied with what we showed on the pitch, but luckily in the second half the team reacted in the best possible way and managed to turn it around. The half-time break served to calm us down and sort out our ideas. Certainly Cristiana [Girelli]'s goal was fundamental at the end of the first half and allowed me to review in my head the changes I already had in mind for the start of the second half."
THE BIG MATCH AGAINST ROMA
"It's a final for us. In reality all these matches are finals, but tomorrow's match has a greater weight because by winning we could get closer to Roma, bridging the gap in the standings to five points. Roma have shown this year that they are a great team and I'm sure it will be a great game. This team has shown that they don't suffer under pressure, and are able to remain calm. It has been a good week from a recovery point of view. The team is focused and ready for tomorrow."
BECCARI'S GROWTH
"Beccari is having a great season. I have always said that she needed continuity and she managed to find it in Como and her progress has been noticed. She has a great future ahead of her."
READY FOR THE FUTURE
"With the Club we are always thinking about the future, as Director Stefano Braghin also said, and the renewals of Pfattner, Schatzer and Beccari herself is certainly confirmation of this. Now clearly the focus is on the current season finale, but the Club is already working for the future. I think there are many players who have grown this year by raising the bar, but it's even better knowing they still have ample room for improvement."
